The packaging of food products in thermoformed trays and flow-packs or bags has long been a consolidated condition for maintaining the integrity of the products from production to the consumer. In addition to the commercial image of the products, the packaging shows all the information relating to the identification of the products, such as: product name, ingredients, shelf life, expiry date, nutritional characteristics, country of origin and other information according to law. This information can be pre-printed on the package itself or managed with the application of one or more self-adhesive labels with the advantage of allowing high flexibility also thanks to the possibility of printing variable data online. To address the problems of labeling, identification and traceability, LABELPACK has developed a wide range of labeling systems capable of applying one or more labels on the package, also managing the in-line printing of variable data and bar codes. The top-of-the-range solution is created with the MODULAR series systems built on the basis of an “open frame” structure in stainless steel on which the various labeling modules of the LABELX series are integrated for application on the upper and lower side of the packages which contain the products. The system is equipped with electronic control positioned in a hanging control panel where the PLC and the Touch Screen operator interface are housed; the operating speeds are all electronically synchronized and all the adjustments are equipped with numerical indicators to facilitate the format change and the consequent repositioning to the previous position. MODULAR systems can integrate different product transport systems, made according to the dimensional characteristics, weight and shape of the package to be labeled, these transport systems are integrated in a “balcony” position allowing easy cleaning of the area below the machine itself. . The LABELX labeling modules available with label width 140 -250 mm, can integrate all the thermal transfer printing units available on the market with printing width 4 “and 6” produced by HONEYWELL, ZEBRA, SATO, NOVEXX, or alternatively encoders TTO and INK-JET for on-line printing of variable data, barcodes and other information necessary for the traceability of food products. For entry level applications, the COMPACT series systems are available, also made with stainless steel structures and equipped with the LABELX JR series labeling modules which allow for extremely functional solutions at a very competitive price.
